Cutting down our Christmas Tree

This year, we decided to go cut down our own Christmas tree. We had been hoping to go into the mountains to get one from the national forest, but you have to have a permit and they were sold out. So, instead, we went to a tree farm in Greeley with our good friends, the Drakes. We had a great time. Turns out that picking the right tree is quite a big decision...and they look a lot smaller on the farm than they do in your living room. We love our tree and had a great time finding it. I do believe this is the start of a new tradition.

We took a hayride out to the trees

The girls had so much fun running around. What a great playground!

What a man! A saw and flowery diaper bag.

The ONE!

The Drakes found their tree.

Headed back to get some cookies and cider. Such a fun day!

Back at home, We got the tree all set up.

Ava and Lucy supervising.

Maybe not the most perfect tree, but we love it! My favorite tree ever!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we had some sweet friends over for food, football, and fun. We don't have a very big house, but we managed to six adults and six kids in for some good food. We have so much to be thankful for and good friends is at the top of the list!
Kids table!
The Spread! We moved all the furniture out of the living room so we could all eat together.

Some much good fun, but this was what the kids wanted.

Emily prepared several crafts for the kids to do. They had so much fun. They made the cutest little turkeys, but I didn't get a picture of the final product.

We thought we would try to give the kiddos a little rest time with a movie. This sweet picture lasted about 10 minutes. Oh well...who needs a nap.

4 months

Lucy is 4 months and just so sweet. She is 13.9 pounds and 24.75 inches. She sleeping well, about 10 to 11 hours a night. She goes to bed around 8ish and is up around 7ish. Lucy eats about every 3 to 3.5 hours. We can't quite make it to the 4 hour stretch during the day. She takes a morning nap, afternoon nap, and usually needs a little early evening nap. Lucy is the smiliest little girl. She loves to watch Ava and is starting to laugh.

She getting so strong. She has even rolled a few...purely accidental though!

Rock'in the bumbo!

Four months.

Precious face....
