3 Months

Lucy did not have a doctor's check up this month, but i weighted her at Ava's 2 years appointment. She is up to 11 pounds, with all her clothes on. Still little bitty and still absolutely precious. Lucy is sleeping 10 to 11 hours a night. She is waking up around 7 to 7:30am. Not too bad!! She continues to eat about every three hours, and is eating about 6 times a day. She is smiling a lot and starting to talk to us more.

Fall Festival

We decided to celebrate fall this year by going to this farm up in Longmont, CO for a Fall Festival. It was call Anderson Farm. Ava has such a fun time. She was a little young for a lot of the activities, but what kid doesn't love running around a farm? It was a fun day and we plan making this a new traditions.

Ava loved the animals!
When Ava saw this buffalo she said, "Dinosaur!"

Ava and Brent played in the Hay Maze
If this was a video, you would hear me saying, "Brent! Be careful!!"

They also tried out one of the rides. Brent told me next year I have to do this one with her. Not sure why??

Two Years Old!

Ava is TWO!! I can't hardly believe it. What a joy and blessing the last two years have been. We love watching her grow and learn. At two years old she is 25 pounds and 2' 10". This year she has been to the beach, taken several trips to Texas, and been the mountains a lot. She made lots of little friends. Her vocabulary has exploded. I love her little voice and hearing her say new words. Some of out favorites are "cycladoo" for motorcycle, "ninner" for dinner, "shunder" for thunder, and "no way" for watermelon. Ava loves to play outside, run, jump, laugh, color, read, and swing. She also became a big sister this year. Ava is the sweetest sister. She loves Lucy and is mommy's best helper. She sings to Lucy, gives Lucy her paci, and shares her stuffed animals.

On her birthday, we just did a little family dinner and opened some presents.

The next day, we had a little party at our house with a few of her friends.
Eating Birthday cupcakes!
She had a lot of help opening her presents.
Playing with one of her new presents!!

We love you so much Ava Claire!! Happy Birthday to my big two year old!!

Breckenridge

Brent's mom, his sister, Keri, and our nephew, Kaleb came up to visit and for Keri and Kaleb to meet Lucy. We decided to rent a cabin in the mountains nears Breckenridge. It was so beautiful. The cabin was at the base of two 14ers and we were just below the tree line. We had a great, relaxing weekend!

Kaleb was a great big cousin to Ava and Lucy!!

We had a little time on Monday before they head back to Texas to play and go to the park.

The only down part of the weekend, was that our crazy, old dog, Abby, ran away. On Saturday morning, we let her outside to play for a bit. We do this anytime we go the mountains and she always stays close and comes when she is called. Well, about 10 minutes after we let her out, Brent called for her and she did not come. We spent the rest of the day looking for her, fearing the worse. Sunday morning she was still not back and we were preparing ourselves to leave the mountains without her. Then, I was finally able to get enough of a signal to check my voice mail and someone had found her. Turns out she was at a house about 300 yards away and had spent the night sitting by the fire. That dog!! We are glad she is safe and back home.
