9 months!

Wow! I can't believe Ava is 9 months. Oh, it is going too fast. This was quite an eventful month. Ava is crawling all over, pulling up on her own to stand and even taking some steps holding on to our fingers or the couch. She talks all the time and very clearly says "mama" and "dada" now. Ava now has two little front teeth on the bottom and she is working hard on several others. She is eating almost all solid foods now which makes her mama so happy! She is still such a great sleeper. Ava continues to be a happy, easy baby. She laughs all the time and is busy, busy, busy!
First trip the the beach!
Big girl riding in the grocery cart.
Eating solid food...note the macaroni on the forehead.
In her little pool. She was not so sure about it at first but now she loves it!

Concert at Red Rocks

On Saturday the 9th, Brent and I went and saw one of our favorite bands, the Avett Brothers, at Red Rocks. For those of you who don't know, Red Rocks it this awesome concert venue in Denver. It is a huge outdoor amphitheater built into the rock (yes, the red rock) and it looks out over the city. Beautiful place for a concert. Just to make it even better, there was lightening storm going on over the city that night. The concert was fantastic and it was nice to have an evening together (special thanks to Beth and Steve for watching Ava for us). Here a few picture of Red Rocks.

The Avett Brothers sing a song called "January Wedding" which i have decided is Brent and I's song since we did get married in January. Enjoy!

Camping for 4th of July

The weekend of the 4th of July we went camping with some friends. It was a beautiful weekend in the mountains. In Denver it was really hot so the mountains were perfect. We drove up Chin's Lake about an hour outside of Denver. We had to take a back county road and found a great little camp site. It was Ava's first camping trip and she did amazing. She had fun hiking, playing in the dirt (maybe eating a little) and she still managed to sleep almost 12 hours that night. It was a nice little weekend get away. Good times outside and with friends.

Still some snow....in July...
